A few seconds can change everything.

I was nineteen when I experienced debilitating back pain for the first time.

I began practicing yoga when I was a child. I can still remember my Mom guiding me through a deep relaxation process. I laid on our living room floor and imagined I was a “popsicle melting on a hot sidewalk.”

Growing up I struggled a lot with my health. I was constantly sick, had digestive issues and tremendous fatigue. For a long time I thought it was normal to feel this way.

Despite the challenges I faced with my health, my muscular body never gave me any trouble.

Until at age nineteen, I decided to paint my room a gorgeous, deep red.

I came down from the ladder, paint brush in my hand, and my back gave up, gave in, and collapsed. I couldn’t walk, and I was in excruciating pain.

Over the course of several years I was fortunate to learn from some incredibly talented yoga and Pilates practitioners and physical therapists.

I literally got back on my feet again and have kept my chronic pain in check, and I know you can too!
